A Big Family   versione testuale
The interview with Archbishop Paglia on Vatican Radio

"In the face of the ego's dictatorship, we need to rediscover the beauty of the we. And the family is the first 'we' that we encounter." This was said by Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia, President of the Pontifical Council for the Family, during an interview with Vatican Radio, made in Philadelphia on the sidelines of the VIII "World Meeting of Families." On the eve of the Synod, the Church's mission, he said, "is to give a soul or, if you will, a quality of family love that the sacrament strengthens, so that this love will help us to overcome all the limitations we encounter" and "thus, gradually, until we come to the last wave—we could say—of this indispensable love that makes all people into one big family."
