Carlos Pérez Testor has been elected president of the European Family Institutes Network


Carlos Pérez Testor, director of the Vidal and Barraquer University Institute of Mental Health in Barcelona, is the new president of the European Family Institutes Network (REDIF).
 
The announcement of his appointment has been made on the sidelines of this year's General Assembly of the REDIF, which was held last Saturday in Barcelona, after a seminar on "The challenges of international adoption in Europe" that brought together fifty experts from around the world.
In fact, the promoters explain, "this is the second international seminar organized by the Vidal and Barraquer University Institute of Mental Health in 2016, the year in which we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the foundation, in 1976, by Jordi Font, Antoni Bobe, Pere Castellví, Antoni Gomis, Enrique de la Lama, José Manuel Díaz Munguira, Ana Garre and Roser Font, under the leadership of Josep BEA, of what is now the research group on the couple and the family (GRPF)." The latter, added: "it pays special attention to emotional and communicative aspects of the different family relationships and develops models for preventive and therapeutic intervention: specifically, researchers GRPF operate in different research areas, ranging from the quality of relations struck by divorce, family violence, migration, adoptions, addictions, and disability to the effect of chronic diseases in the family."
