On Wednesday, May 6th, Pope Francis spoke about the sacrament of marriage, recalling St. Paul and love‘s "great mystery" (Eph 5:32).
 
The artist Gabriella Cominotti was asked to comment on this catechesis. For the occasion, alongside her work (attached image in high definition), she wanted to add the following words:
 
Unrest, lightning and beauty—this is the sacrament of love
music and fiery dancing in midst of the harshness of being
 
Stone and lapilli
taken and abandoned
incandescence and thunder
 
And the passionate kiss
becomes the eternal seal
 
And the desire moves and flies away, free as the spark of infinity
