Philadelphia is preparing for the World Meeting with an app for volunteers and an exhibition organized by the Museum of the Bible

The training for the volunteers of the World Meeting of Families has become interactive. An application will prepare the 10,000 volunteers of the Philadelphia Meeting for their many different services by allowing them to complete a series of challenges that will test their knowledge of key roles and responsibilities for these special events in Philadelphia.
The app, available for iPhone and Android, provides customized training programs for each of the roles. In addition, it allows the volunteers who use it to learn interesting facts about Pope Francis and to share experiences of their communities. They will also be able to engage with other participants during training by using interactive features via Scavify, including a real-time leaderboard and a "Photostream," which will allow volunteers to view a stream of the photo challenges that other volunteers are completing.
Preparations are also in full swing at the Pennsylvania Convention Center for the exhibition "Verbum Domini II: God’s Word Goes Out to the Nations," organized there from 21 to 26 September. Originally exhibited at the Vatican in Rome, this exhibition will showcase more than 80 artifacts from the Museum of the Bible’s Green Collection, one of the largest private collections of rare biblical texts and artifacts in the world.
Eight tunnels and 24 exhibitors will allow the free use of finds such as fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls, some pages of the Code Bodmer, a first edition of the King James Bible and the 1685 Eliot edition, the first Bible printed in America.
