A Precious Mosaic
Launching of a series of exclusive video interviews



The vitality of the families and of the organisms at their service is really intense and varied. This mosaic, which is as precious as it is diversified, appears in a series of video interviews fimed during the world meeting in Philadelphia that represent different aspects and experiences of family pastoral ministry worldwide. These videos will be put on line in the coming weeks, both on the site and the Youtube channel of the Pontifical Council for the Family.
 
The series opens with two interviews in Spanish—with Dr. Carmen Domínguez, President of REDIFAM, and with Msgr. Alberto Bochatey, auxiliary Bishop of La Plata, Argentina—dedicated to the presentation of the work of REDIFAM, a network that fosters collaboration between research institutes on the family in Latin American universities.
Reading the Bible in the family is the topic dealt with in the interviews with Mrs. Therese Brown, Executive Director of the american Association of Catholic Publishers; Dr. Mary Sperry, Regional Coordinator of the Catholic Biblical Federation; Ricardo Grzona, President of the Ramon Panè Foundation; and the Quiceno Nieto family, of the colombian association Casitas Biblicas.
The evangelizing work of the family, with specific attention to the ecumenical aspect, is the theme of the interview with Msgr. Renzo Bonetti, President of the Foundation Famiglia Dono Grande.
Msgr. Mario Iceta Gavicagogeascoa, Bishop of Bilbao and Chairman of the Subcommittee for the Family and the Defense of Life of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, presents a major project of affective-sex education for adolescents, while the couple Elisabeth and Bernhard Neiser, General superiors of the Schoenstatt Family Movement, describe the spiritual experience of their movement.
The series will conclude with the interview of the couple Carla and Domenico Simeone, who speak about the precious work of family counseling, and the moving experience of the Sargi couple, Syrian Christians spouses who tell about what it means to live in Damascus today.
