New rules for faster and free assessment of marital nullity. The procedures for the reform of the canonical process of marriage annulment, which will enter into force on 8 December, at the beginning of the extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, were established by Pope Francis with two letters Motu Proprio datae of the Holy Father: "Mitis iudex Dominus Iesus" (The Lord Jesus, Clement Judge) and "Mitis et Misericors Iesus" (Clement and merciful Jesus), announced yesterday, 8 September.
