New Conversion for the Family   versione testuale
A book recently published by the Pontifical John Paul II Institute proposes a new way of approaching wounded families with mercy, in accordance with the intention of Pope Francis

The professors of the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family have responded with a volume full of contributions—edited by the Dean, Msgr. Livio Melina—to Pope Francis' call for a courageous "pastoral and missionary conversion," so that wounded families may be approached in a deeply changed cultural context.

Undertaking this in a light volume published by Cantagalli Press under the title Pastoral Conversions for the Family. Yes, but Which Ones?, they have attempted to delineate a new, realistically feasible, way of showing how fruitful the significant legacy of the thought and witness of the great "Pope of the Family," John Paul II, still remains largely to be explored and to put into action.
Keeping these teachings constantly in mind, the professors of the Pontifical Institute underline, in this book, the firm conviction that true mercy is never detached from the truth, and that it must be understood in its sacramental dimension. Moreover, the theology of love is always linked to the theology of the body, and the practical way of realizing it is modulated over time, through personal accompaniment, in the communal embrace of the Church.
