Pope Francis' Catechism 2. Mom 
 | Mom A mother, every mother is, for Pope Francis, first of all a person who gives life. Even your own! Not only did your mother bring you into the world, but she feeds you and cares for you every day, giving her whole life for you and your entire family. This is why she is at the same time very happy and tired. Like Pope Francis' mother, who he recalls saying: "I remember at home, we were five. If one did one thing, another thought about doing something else. Our poor mother went from one to the other; yet she was happy. She gave us so much." |
The Pope even said that mothers are martyrs: every day, they give their lives to their children and so witness to the beauty and tenderness of love. They are invaluable. Therefore, they should be helped: at work, in society, even at home. Don't forget that! |  |
