A new episode in the "Vincent Lambert Case," so named after the 39-year-old French quadriplegic, in a state of minimal consciousness after a car accident in 2008, has been unveiled by the French-speaking press. The court has in fact decided that the protection of Vincent Lambert would be entrusted precisely to his wife, Rachel Lambert, who is in favor of stopping her husband's artificial nutrition. The judgment of the Court of Appeal in Reims confirmed on July 8th the decision, pronounced last March 10th, to entrust to Rachel Lambert the protection of her husband for the next ten years. This pronouncement had been challenged on appeal by the man's parents, who for four years have multiplied court actions in order to keep their child alive.
