Kenya polygamy is legal   versione testuale
With President Uhuru Kenyatta’s signature, polygamy is legalized with the consent of the other wives not being necessary

Polygamy in Kenya has become legal as President Uhuru Kenyatta signed the controversial marriage bill into law, with the law now allowing a man to marry as many women as he desires even without the consent of the other women. The law also provides procedures for separation and divorce and regulates the custody and maintenance of children in these cases. The law however, will be appealed by various organizations that strongly opposed it, among which being: national legal groups, human rights advocates, women’s rights organizations, and the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) that brings together 40 churches and Christian organizations. Catholic Bishops have also expressed their opposition.
