On February 18th and 19th, the first International Colloquium on the challenges of educational excellence will be held in Santiago de Compostela

"Educational Quality and Excellence: The Challenges of Education in the 21st Century" is the theme of the first International Colloquium, which will be held on February 18th and 19th, at the Auditorio Abanca of Santiago de Compostela.

"Education has made great progress in our contexts, where illiteracy was a social ill until just a few decades ago. Now, in all Western countries, basic education is widespread, and constitutes both a right and an obligation," says Agustín Dosil Maceira, president of the organizing committee and of the Foundation "Familias Mundi".
"Yet, the quantitative aims reached in education oblige us to reach equally important proportions in terms of quality. This is a constant concern for teachers and families." The gathering proposed in Santiago de Compostela, where experts from 13 countries will discuss neuroeducation, social challenges, new technologies in the service of the person, the parameters of quality education and excellence, and the contribution of the family to high quality education, is intended to respond to this need.
