Divorced People in the Gospel   versione testuale
This is the second book in Cantagalli's the new series "Famiglia, lavori in corso." The object of this work, written by Professor Luis Sanchez Navarro, is Jesus' lively word about marriage and divorce

"Cosa ne pensa Gesù dei divorziati?"— What does Jesus think about those who are divorced? This fundamental question is also the title of Luis Sánchez Navarro's book, which is the second of the first three volumes in the recently inaugurated series published by Cantagalli, "Famiglia, lavori in corso."

In this small volume(96 pages, 9 €), the author, Professor of the New Testament at the University of San Damaso in Madrid, assuming that the Church's doctrine is deeply rooted in the Gospel, stresses the need to turn our attention to Scripture, and to stop a moment, in order to listen calmly to Christ's words. In fact, in the debate on whether or not to administer the Sacrament of reconciliation and the Eucharist to divorced and remarried faithful, we increasingly find apposite and convincing analyzes, but, in most cases, reference to Jesus' words, and especially to his teaching about marriage and divorce, is scarce.
Consequently, Sanchez Navarro, first presents accurately and pertinently analyzes the Lord's position on these two issues—in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke—; then, he examines how His word was received and updated be Saint Paul. The author moves forward in a straight line, with the aim of giving a clear response to the question "What does Jesus think of those who are divorced?"
