CELAM, in Quito a four-day study session on "Amoris Laetitia"

Yesterday in Quito, Ecuador, the meeting brought together the representatives of the Latin American episcopal conferences, the national directors of family pastoral ministry, and also representatives of movements whose charism promotes the family. This meeting centered on the theme "The Joy of Love – We have experienced love and we believed in it," will end on 8 July. The aim of the session—explains Father José Antonio Delgado Velázquez, Executive Secretary of CELAM's Office for family, life and youth—is to "foster a methodology for making attention to the family an integral part of the national pastoral plans, particularly in the light of the study and understanding the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia, in view of its pastoral application." The Exhortation will also be the subject of careful consideration, on the basis of the different presentations and guidelines prepared by CELAM.
