Congress "Giving Visibility to the Elderly"   versione testuale

In October, a congress on "Giving visibility to the elderly" will be held in Panama City. On 29 June, Fr. Jose Guillermo Gutierrez Fernandez, an official of our Pontifical Council, was the main speaker at a preparatory conference on the same topic.

The Congress "Giving Visibility to the Elderly" has been convoked by three Panamanian institutions: the National Assembly, the National University of Panama and the Archdiocese of Panama. The one-day preliminary conference, held in the Magna Sala of the National Assembly, was attended by the Chairman of the parliamentary committee on the family and health, the Chancellor of the university, Prof. Gustavo García de Paredes, and the Dean of the University of Labor and the Third Age, Dr. Argénida de Barrios, along with several legislators and students from the National University. Fr. Jose Guillermo Gutierrez spoke on "The Right of the Elderly in the Reflection of the Catholic Church." The lecture is available at the following link.
