Temptation of Gender Ideology in Mexico   versione testuale
The country's president wants to implement changes in the Constitution in favor of same-sex "marriage" and adoptions. This proposal has immediately been challenged by Mexican Bishops and Laity

A project that hopefully will never be put into practice was publicly launched in favor of homosexuals and the gender theory by Mexico's President, Enrique Peña Nieto, on May 17th, on the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia.

The political proposal promoted by the Head of the Mexican State is composed of three points. The first, before all else, consists of a bill designed to amend Article 4 of Mexico's Constitution so that, in all the states of the Nation, the "marriage" between persons of the same sex may be recognized, and even the possibility of adoption be opened. Up to now, this possibility has existed only, since 2009, in the Federal District (Mexico City) and three of the 32 states of the Mexican Republic. The second point, then, provides for the introduction of the gender theory at all levels of education, while the third point promises the incorporation of Mexico in a group of countries that promote the theory gender worldwide.
The Mexican Bishops and the Episcopal Committee for Family, laity, and Life immediately spoke out against this dismal scenario, emphasizing in particular that the "faithful are also citizens who cannot continue being spectators in a declining society, that lacks direction, but are called, on the contrary, to promote a culture that reflects the respect, in the laws, of our nation's vision and culture."
