A conference on the theme of chastity, under the title “Real Love Revolution 2013”, organized in Manila, will take place September 7th, at the initiative of the Filipino university students and some members of the Parliament, united in defense of life.

 

According to the report of the AsiaNews agency, this event promoted by the student movement at the University of Asia and the Pacific will be held at the Plenary Hall of the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay, Manila, on the theme of chastity and the influences in contemporary society and for a culture of life. The “Reproductive Health Bill”, contraception, divorce, premarital sex and premature pregnancies will also be discussed. The Eucharistic celebration will be presided over by the newly elected President of the Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, Msgr. Socrates Villegas, Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan.
 

Within the Parliament, a “Coalition for Life” group has formed under the leadership of Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and Lito Atienza, former mayor of Manila, with the aim of promoting policies and legislative reforms that put the family in the center.
