"I have received, I have transmitted"   versione testuale
Public meeting organized by the Pontifical Council for the Family on the inter-generational alliance (November 14th and 15th, 2013)

«We are going through a delicate and risky historical phase, also as far as inter-generational relationships are concerned and, especially, those between parents and children. What is at stake is the bond of the cultural and spiritual heritage between generations, in the transmission of a vision of the world and of the human being, and, consequently, also the transmission of the faith. It is therefore urgent to study the matter from the different angles in which this is happening, and in reference to the relationship between authority, love and freedom, on which the relations are founded». With these words, the President of the Pontifical Council for the Family, Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia, presents the Conference of studies sponsored by the Dicastery on the subject: “«I have received, I have transmitted»: the crisis of the alliance between the generations”, which will take place on Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th of November, at the Congress Hall of the Palazzo San Calisto (Piazza San Calisto 16, Rome).

The working session of the first day will be opened by the President, Msgr. Paglia, and the first talk on the second day will be given by the Bishop of Novara, Msgr. Franco Giulio Brambilla. The speakers will be: Mauro Magatti and Francesco Botturi, Professors at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan; Margherita Pelaja, member of the Italian Society of Women Historians and the Society of the Italian of Encyclopedia; the psychoanalysts Francesco Stoppa, Massimo Recalcati and Mary Balmarie; the theologians Xavier Lacroix and Pierangelo Sequeri; the historian Lucetta Scaraffia with the philosopher Claudia Mancina, from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome.
