"Where is your brother?"   versione testuale
In a pastoral letter, the Catholic Bishops of Eritrea ask the elderly and parents "not to abdicate their responsibilities"

"The question 'Where is your brother?' concerns first and foremost the family circle." This statement was made by the four Eritrean Eparches in a pastoral letter entitled "Where is your brother?" that speaks out against the present situation in the country and recalls the centrality of Faith in Christ. The Bishops explain that, for various reasons, "including even the national military service, the impact of the mass media and the living conditions of young people, the influence of the elderly and of parents on children and youth in general is diminishing dramatically." The Eparches call the elderly and parents "not to abdicate their responsibilities, although many negative factors seem to hinder them from continuing to exercise their role of mediation and persuasion, not to be seduced by private interests, to look on from afar." Finally, there is a call to "save the family," the "main land where fraternity flowers and matures": the "strength" of the family is "the country’s salvation."
