Couples on a Spiritual Retreat   versione testuale
At Karen, an encounter sponsored by the Conference of Catholic Bishops of Kenya for serving God through marriage

Eighteen of the twenty-six dioceses were represented at the retreat for couples sponsored by the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops of (KCCB) at the retreat house of the Little Daughters of St. Joseph, in Karen. The retreat began with a homily pronounced by the General Secretary of the Bishops' Conference, Fr. Vincent Wambugu, who reminded the couples of their calling to serve God through the sacrament of marriage and encouraged the participants to be obedient to God's voice in everything they do. Msgr. Salesius Mugambi, Bishop of the Diocese of Meru, spoke during the retreat, urging couples to educate their children in the faith and to cultivate a life of prayer, both individually and as a family. In his intervention, the Bishop noted that the Christian family is "facing many challenges from every corner" and then urged couples to let their children freely serve in the Church as a platform to gain knowledge about their faith.
